My name is Jme, I am fourteen years old and I guess you can say I am an old timer at the Heart of Jesus, cause I've been there all my life, ever since I was a baby. I was born with a Congenital Heart defect, it is a condition which there's a hole in my heart that it would mix the oxygenated blood and the de-oxygenated blood, that was really bad for me . My parents really took it hard, they use to be Sunday Catholics, until I was diagnosed with myheart condition at two weeks of age. My parents started talking to the Lord, as their last resource. They started to pray really hard for my healing. We use to attend to a chapel named St. Martin, people would pray over me, Sister Zenny was the first person which my parents met . She prayed over me as a baby, and when she did she would pray in tongues (gift of the Holy Spirit). Sister Zenny asked my parents to come to the first anniversary of Heart of Jesus, we then started to attend the prayer group and we never stopped coming. My parents would attend Healing Masses for my healing. When I was three years old, there was this healing mass with a priest named Fr. Ron Roth, who came from Chicago . He did not know me or my parents but on that day he had a word of knowledge saying, "The Lord is telling me that there's a three- year old girl who has a Congenital Heart Defect in the cry room, who is being healed right now by the Lord." With that everyone who knew me were all excited about that, especially my mom. My mom brought me to the hospital to check if I still had the hole in my heart , after that check up I still had it. Still my family was consistent in praying.

The doctors said that I would not be a healthy child during my period of growth cause of my condition, but you know what God really helped me in life cause He supported me, because of that I grew with no problems, not what so ever. And if you would ask the core people here in Heart of Jesus who are here when I was a kid. As a child here in HOJ, I was the most HYPER in Tagalog it is malikot girl, more hyper than a regular person who doesn't have my condition. Bro. Celso would see me running along and would ask me to feel my heart or feel my chest, if you listen you can hear a bee buzzing like sound. By the time I was six years old I had to stay in the hospital for three days to have my Open Heart surgery to fix the problem. Usually a small child would get scared of the doctors, but for me I had no problem, my experience was different. Because of the Lord, I had a different perspective. I loved the attention of the doctors and nurses, loved the hospital food, and received lots of gifts from my relatives and friends . During my operation the doctors found the hole gone - it was not there; however they did have to fix a muscle band and that is it. GOD REALLY HEALED ME! Today I am healthy, happy with my life serving the Lord. Now I am doing some volunteer work at the Carmelite Retreat House in Alhambra, altar serving at my parish, praying for more people, and helping people as much as I can. So, no matter what-believe, because He will answer your prayers. Have faith in God as it is said in, Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord lean not in your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall straighten your ways."

I recognize that Jesus is like finding the spring of love. I recognize Jesus and recognize that He helped me to stay in the United States and have a better life. I enjoy that I help other people.
